If you ask Suneli what makes her happiest, she’ll say with a shy smile: “Skipping and eating tomato chutney with rice.” Simple joys, but behind them is a story of strength far beyond her years. Suneli is the only child in her family. Life changed when she was just five—her father passed away, and her mother had to travel far to Tamil Nadu to work as a daily laborer. While most children her age were wrapped in their parents’ care, Suneli learned early what it means to be brave. Today, she stays with her uncle and grandparents, who surround her with love, but her heart still longs for her mother’s presence. And yet—this little girl refuses to be defeated. She is active, strong, and full of energy. She studies hard, loves English, and treasures her favorite Bible verse, Psalm 23:1-2. She dreams of wearing a nurse’s uniform one day—not for herself, but so she can serve others, heal the hurting, and give her family a life of dignity. Every dream needs wings, and Suneli is determined that hers will fly. |
