In a village where people longed for a son, Nibedita Nag was born into a family of seven daughters. Her father works as a vendor, going door to door selling vegetables, while her mother cares for the home. Providing food, clothing, and education for so many children has been a heavy burden. Yet Nibedita has chosen not to be defined by society’s expectations. A Class 7 student today, she dreams of becoming a teacher—someone who can open minds, spread knowledge, and break the chains of ignorance that hold her community back. She hopes to be a role model, showing that daughters too can bring blessing and pride to their families. At the hostel, Nibedita is learning discipline, daily prayer, and the confidence to trust God for her future. With your support, she can rise above the challenges around her and grow into the teacher and leader her society so desperately needs. |
