In the small village of Sikuli in Kalahandi District, lives an 11-year-old boy named Piyush Naik. He studies in Class 6. His father works as a daily labourer, while his mother is a housewife. Piyush also has one sister. Life for his family was not easy—they lived below the poverty line, and there were no proper facilities for good education in his village. Coming to Naba Asha changed everything for Piyush. Here, he now receives proper education, care, and the chance to grow in a safe environment. He enjoys hostel life, where discipline, daily devotions, physical exercise, and good food help him to live happily and purposefully. Piyush’s favorite subject is Odia, and he dreams of becoming a teacher one day. He wants to guide and inspire children, just as he has been guided and supported at Naba Asha. With hope in his heart and determination in his studies, Piyush is walking step by step toward a brighter future. |
