In a small village called Kumudasil in Koraput District, lives an 11-year-old boy named Pratik Turuk. His father is a farmer, his mother a housewife, and he has two brothers. Life in the village was tough. There were no proper schools, and the area was unsafe—many people around were addicted to alcohol. Living below the poverty line, Pratik’s family struggled, and his dreams seemed far away. But everything began to change when Pratik came to Naba Asha. Here, he found a safe place to grow, learn, and dream again. He now studies in Class 5, enjoys his favorite subject, English, and lives a disciplined life in the hostel—with good food, daily devotions, and physical exercise. Pratik carries a big dream in his small heart—he wants to become a police officer. He hopes to protect people, bring safety to his community, and support his family. With each passing day at Naba Asha, he is not only learning but also building the courage to turn that dream into reality. |
