In the village of Kshetrajpur in Sambalpur District, lives a brave boy named Raj Nag. He is 12 years old, studying in Class 7, and also lives with sickle cell disease. Raj’s father passed away when he was very young, and his mother works as a daily laborer and housekeeping staff in the municipality. Life for Raj and his family was extremely difficult, and they lived in poverty. Schools were far away, and there were no proper facilities for education. When Raj came to Naba Asha, his life began to change. He found a safe and caring environment where he could study well, live with discipline, enjoy good food, and grow alongside other children in the hostel. Raj’s favorite subject is Odia, and he dreams of becoming a doctor one day. He hopes to serve people and help others, just as he has been helped at Naba Asha. With the guidance and opportunities he receives here, Raj is steadily moving toward his dream, full of courage and hope. |
