In the village of Diptipur in Bargargh District, lives a bright boy named Pratik Raj Hiyal. He is 12 years old and studying in Class 6. His father works as a driver, his mother is a housewife, and he has one sister and one brother. Life in his village was challenging—there were no proper facilities for education, many people around were addicted to alcohol, and his family lived below the poverty line.

When Pratik came to Naba Asha, his life began to change. He found a safe and caring environment, good education, hostel life with discipline, daily devotions, physical exercise, and nutritious food. He enjoys studying and living together with other children, learning and growing every day.

Pratik’s favorite subject is Odia, and he dreams of becoming an engineer one day. He hopes to use his knowledge to help his family and community. With the guidance and opportunities at Naba Asha, Pratik is taking steps every day toward achieving his dream.
