My Story

In the village of Amtha in Kalahandi District, lives a hopeful boy named Sohan Nag. He is 13 years old and studying in Class 8. His father works as a laborer, his mother is a housewife, and he has one brother. Life in his village was full of challenges—his father’s income was very low, schools were far away, and his mother had little opportunity to focus on Sohan’s education or future. Opportunities for learning and growth were almost nonexistent.

When Sohan came to Naba Asha, everything began to change. Here, he found a safe and nurturing environment where he could study well, live with discipline, enjoy daily devotions, physical exercise, and good food, and share life with friends in comfortable accommodation.

Sohan’s favorite subject is History, and he dreams of becoming a pastor one day. He hopes to guide and serve people, just as he has been guided and supported at Naba Asha. With the care and opportunities he receives here, Sohan is steadily moving toward his dream, filled with hope and determination.
