My Story

In the village of Bandhalipara in Balangir District, lives a determined boy named Israel Ku Nag. He is 12 years old and studying in Class 7. His father works as a daily laborer, and his mother passed away three years ago. He has one sister, and the family lives in extreme poverty. Life was very difficult for Israel—schools were far away, there were no proper facilities for education, and his father, often addicted to alcohol, could not focus on his children’s future.

When Israel came to Naba Asha, his life began to change. Here, he found a safe and nurturing environment where he could study well, live with discipline, enjoy good food, and grow alongside other children in the hostel.

Israel’s favorite subject is Mathematics, and he dreams of joining the Army one day. He hopes to serve his country and build a better future for himself and his family. With the guidance and opportunities at Naba Asha, Israel is steadily moving toward achieving his dream, full of hope and determination.
