In the village of Madangi in Kandhamal District, lives a determined boy named Samson Badamajhi. He is 15 years old and studying in Class 7. His father is a pastor, his mother works with ASHA, and he has three brothers. Life for Samson and his family was very difficult—they were very poor, schools were far away, and there were no proper facilities for education. Many people around were addicted to alcohol, and his family could not focus on the children’s future. When Samson came to Naba Asha children's home, his life began to change. He found a safe and nurturing environment where he could study well, live with discipline, enjoy good food, participate in daily devotions, and grow alongside other children in the hostel. Samson’s favorite subjects are Science and Mathematics, and he dreams of becoming a doctor one day. He hopes to serve people and bring hope to his community. With the guidance and opportunities at Naba Asha, Samson is steadily moving toward achieving his dream, full of hope and determination.
