Habel Ashrab is a Class IV student from Arda village near Khariar, Odisha. His father works as a mason, and he has three sisters. Before coming to Naba Asha, Habel spent much of his time helping with household responsibilities, including cooking. He also faced challenges in accessing proper education. Habel felt happy when he first arrived at Naba Asha. Since then, he has made new friends and developed a growing love for learning. He particularly enjoys studying and sharing everyday life with the other children. Mathematics is Habel’s favourite subject. When he grows up, he dreams of becoming a police officer. His ambition began after seeing a police officer in his village, which inspired him to protect people, uphold the law and help keep his community safe. With access to education, meaningful friendships and a caring environment at Naba Asha, Habel is growing in confidence and taking important steps toward achieving his dream. |
